This current group of works represents my interest in bill posters. The colours are fluorescents and blacks combined to present off hand slogans that reference rock'n'roll, popular and underground culture. The statements might have been found scrawled on toilet walls or in some grimy back alley. Text and urban influence have been the constants in my practice. Stencilled aerosol continually appears in my work and I have explored this via both street and gallery practices. I have always drawn on stylised signage and graphics as references. My subjects are often darker subcultures like criminals, tragedies or mysteries. I believe that most people are drawn to darker stories and mythologised occurrences.
