In 2005, attached to the side of one of Melbourne’s most infamous bars St Jeromes, Caledonian Lane was graced with an intimate gallery space/shop, Rancho Notorious.
Rancho harnessed Melbourne’s Street Culture, with a small shop selling t-shirts, paint, skate decks and more while allowing it to be transformed into a gallery for awe-inspiring exhibitions.
Closing in 2008 along with St Jeromes, Rancho Notorious is now back! Bigger, better and ready to make your hair curl!
Rancho Notorious is an independent gallery and cinema. Situated upstairs at 1000 Pound Bend as a unique, rustic space all about supporting local, national and international artists wanting to exhibit in a space not quite like the rest.
With its raw walls and floors, and 1950s style seating Rancho Notorious is the most striking, memorable place to hold your next exhibition or screening… and to get it all started we are having a massive group show called ‘Up The Bend’ featuring an amazing line up of artists including:
