Candy Spender has pulled together eight other designers of fashion extraordinaire, with a brief to break the paradigm of the so-called what's-hot or what's-cool-now syndrome. For this exhibition each designer is more interested in expressing that part of thier work where the muse first dances in: that moment of inspiration, where one forgets what, when or how much this piece will cost, or who will wear it. We are dealing with �art from the heart�, these are pieces, which would usually get chopped, tucked or modified in such a way that they can be digested by the market place. Here they will be revealed in their entirety. Nothing is at stake, other than our own aesthetic integrity. Couture Dreaming is a playground where art and fashion swing together in a sometimes precarious, but always-adventurous realization.
